Easy and simple to use; happy with results

I used the color Marmelade (I'll call it "marmalade"). I wish they would show more color swatches, the hair colors on people, etc. It was hard to choose a color, because it was hard to guess what color it would make my hair. The actual dyeing process, though, was easy and went well. It's a similar process to other temporary dyes, though this product doesn't come with any extras to use (for example, no conditioner). The only product in the set that I didn't like too much was the set of gloves. They were the flat, clear plastic kind. I felt they made it a bit harder to work the dye through my hair.Without seeing lots of photos to go by for help, I wasn't sure what to expect with the results. Would this look like a natural red, or like an unnatural red? I feel like the marmalade shade is a bit bold, but it will hopefully fade to a more natural shade as it fades. My overall starting colors were hair growing out darker (but not dark enough not to see this shade), and a lighter shade. This dye helped tone them and make them look a bit more cohesive.Sometimes when I look at it, my hair seems to have a bit of an unnatural purplish/burgundy hue, but for the most part I think it's more of an orange-ish, coppery red like it's supposed to be. I like it, and it's fun to have a temporary shade change.

My hair didn’t turn out copper

I ordered Marmedlade hair dye color. I like that this hair dye is vegan and leaves your hair soft and shiny. However, I was expecting my hair to be more copper but it looks more auburn. I’ve washed it a couple of times to see if it would fade to copper but it hasn’t yet. I put this dye over a light copper blonde so if you have similar color, this may be your result as well. It’s not a horrible dye though. I still think my hair looks nice, it just wasn’t what I was expecting.

Best results after a couple shampoos, love it!

A couple months ago, I decided instead of trying to tone the red/brassy undertones out I would lean into my strawberry blonde hues with some red toning conditioners. They do not last however and barely show up on anything but my ends, they are also gone in about one shampoo and it was getting annoying. When this demi-permanent popped up for review I decided to try it.It was pretty easy to use, and the only down side was I did have a bit more breakage on my baby fine top layer of hair than I was expecting, but nothing earth shattering. It didn't stain or irritate my scalp which was amazing as everything tends to upset my skin.I have naturally med-dark blonde hair with subtle red undertones. It use to be a lighter more golden blonde but I'm mid 40s and it is getting darker as I get older. Luckily, I only have a few white hairs (I don't get greys, its all or nothing with my hair strands apparently). This didn't cover the white hairs at all, but maybe it covers greys just fine, I can't really speak to that. When I washed and dried my hair the first time I was a bit bummed as my hair came out basically dark and more brunette than anything else. This product does not lighten your hair or even change it to a new color, it layers it's color ON TOP of yours. So, yeah my hair came out dark and brown. However, after a couple of shampoos it is the most beautiful light auburn. The red really shines through and it looks so natural. My ends are more coppery than auburn because they are lighter to begin with. I can actually see the color all the way up to my roots which I never did with the leave in conditioners. I'm about 6 shampoos in at this point and still love the color. I know it will fade out faster than a Permanente dye job, but it was so much gentler to my hair and scalp I will take the trade off. However, if I had more white hairs and was looking for coverage this wouldn't be the product for me.

easy to use, low odor

This isn't too strongly scented and it's easy to use. The color is nice and has stayed through several washings without leaving anything behind on the towels.

Best smelling dye I've ever used

Easy, even application. Great smell. No hurning or itching at all. Marmalade, however, came out much darker on platinum bleached hair than expected. Was going for Max from Stranger Things, wound up more later seasons Sansa Stark. Either process a couple minutes less than the box says or go a shade lighter.
